Multiple strands of our research into barkcloth are brought together in this book. Part I of the book addresses tapa as fabric, with a focus on bast and colourants. Part II addresses the theme of understanding tapa in time and place. Part III considers tapa both in collections and in the community. The book is published by Sidestone Press.
